What is this site?
This site is made for players of the English version of the game "Travian". This game is a browserbased MMOG (Massive Multiplayer Online Game) in which you can fight against thousands of other players. You are the leader of a small village, and by building, trading and fighting tactically, you can make your people (Roman, Gaul or Teuton) stronger. A tactical plan will help you become the best player. This site will help you to become, not the winner (that will be me) but still one of the best!When to use it?
The more you advance in the game, the less predictable is your growth of resources: if you are smart, you will be trading, robbing and training soldiers while building more and more buildings. The calculations given here are therefore not to be seen as an exact calculation, but give an indication and help you to design a tactical building scheme. Especially choices like "will I upgrade a crop field or build a flour mill?" will be made easier with this program.How does it work?
First of all, copy your resources and production from your account. At least insert your resource stock, your grain consumption and your production per resource. By the way, if you don't select the checkbox, the data entered will be saved on your PC for your convenience. Just update them when necessary!
The next step is to select the number of steps you want to plan ahead. Finally choose the buildings or upgrades in chronological build order. It is wise to play a bit around with this order. When for example you want to plan a building for which you need lots of wood, it could be bettter to invest in the upgrading of a woodcutter first.
Try this by using the alternative routes. Do this by changing the selection box "Alternatives" to e.g. 2. You will see the same data as you already entered at alternative 1. When you change something here, you can easily switch back to the first alternative by selecting alternative 1. This way, you will soon find out the best route for you.
Sometimes it is wise to delay a certain order: when you have to build something at four o'clock, you should better do it the next morning. When you would rather wake up at four, take a look first at this page. It might be of help. If you decide to stick with the chosen building, but want to build it the next morning, just choose the amount of delay you need to get your rest, and continue to create your tactical plan for the next day.
Tip: If you select "detailed view", you will see more information. Use this! You can get better insight in the bottlenecks, and use this knowledge to trade smarter!
